ABOUT
The Blue Ridge Shawl is a classic, triangle shaped scarf that beautifully fades through 3 colors. It's worked from side-to-side and is made entirely up of the Tunisian Simple Stitch, making it a great project for beginners! And the best part? It's REVERSIBLE!
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
YARN: Any DK weight (size 3) yarn will work great! I personally used 3 colors in Sweet Delight by Baby Bee (Chocolate, Sand Castle, and Naked)
YARDAGE: Color 1: 195 yds Color 2: 245 yds Color 3: 195 yds
NOTIONS: scissors, threading needle
FUN FACT
There used to be kits available for this design! Janine, from @windmillfibres, and I collaborated and together we came up with the following 3 colorways: Afternoon Tea, Morning Brew, and Energy Drink. It was my first time collaborating with a yarn dyer/friend and it was a blast!
BEHIND THE NAME
After, I saw the finished shawl, it immediately took me back to the views I saw on Blue Ridge Parkway in the Smoky Mountains. I thought the way the colors slowly fade imitated the way the mountains look. Do you see it, too?!
