ABOUT
The Modern Mary Pullover is a circle yoke, crochet top that's as fun to make as it is to wear! Unique stitches are used throughout the entire garment to create interesting textures and eye-catching patterns. Short sleeves and airy stitches will allow you to wear this top year-round!
CONSTRUCTION
This top is crocheted in joined rounds from the top-down (which means you get to try it on as you go and make the body/sleeves whatever length you desire!), starting with the neckline ribbing. After creating the yoke, you'll extend the back (so the neckline sits properly on the shoulders and doesn't choke you), split for the sleeves and elongate the body. You'll then return to the sleeves for a "seamless" look!

BEHIND THE NAME
This top is named after Mary Queen of Scots. I was obsessed with the ridiculous drama-filled show called Reign and in season 1 episode 9, the actress who played Mary wore a stunning silver top that I adored! It was a little too "royal" for my taste though, so I added a dose of boho and a splash of comfy to it and voila! The Modern Mary Pullover was born.
TESTERS
Guys, I can't say enough good things about this group of makers. Their patience and dedication is what motivated me to not give up! (Long story short, there were 7 versions of this pattern during testing *gasp*) This pattern has come SUCH a long way and it wouldn't be what it is today if it weren't for these beautiful, talented ladies! I'm so grateful for the amount of time and yards of yarn they have dedicated to this design. 🖤 I HIGHLY recommend you click here to see more of their incredible work on Instagram!
